Our Love Story

7 years ago, on a gorgeous winter’s night in Stellenbosch, a beautiful friendship began. Demarre was in town for the annual Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival hosted by the University of Stellenbosch. Post-concert dinner happened at a local restaurant where one of Roxanne’s friends was working. This friend was planning to meet up with Roxanne the following day and invited Demarre to join them. After this initial meeting, Roxanne and Demarre kept in touch and met up whenever he was in town for the festival.
After 4 years of friendship, that relationship received an upgrade when Roxanne and Demarre went on a date, and immediately love was born. This love brought them to the day that would change their lives forever, 23 December 2020, when Demarre proposed to his forever love Roxanne.
The love, passion, commitment, and friendship that exists between the two of them prove that distance is no obstacle when two souls are connected. What’s meant to be will always find its way, and Demarre and Roxanne can’t wait to continue writing their beautiful love story in the next chapter as Mr. & Mrs. McGill!
