Frequently Asked
Questions

travel & arrival

When should I arrive in Cape Town?
We recommend arriving at least one day before the celebrations begin to settle in and adjust after your travels.

Which airport should I fly into?
Please fly into
Cape Town International Airport, which is about 20–25 minutes from the city center and the V&A Waterfront.

Do I need a visa to visit South Africa?
Many nationalities can enter South Africa visa-free for short visits. We recommend checking the entry requirements for your passport well in advance of travel.

ACCOMMODATION

Where should we stay?
We recommend staying in or near the V&A Waterfront, Camps Bay, or Clifton, as these areas are beautiful, safe, and conveniently located.

A list of suggested hotels and accommodations can be found here.

Should we book early?
Yes. Cape Town is a very popular destination and accommodations can fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Best is to lock in flights as soon as possible.

TRANSPORTATION

How will we get around during the wedding events?
Transportation will be arranged for certain wedding events. Full details will be shared closer to the celebration.

Is it easy to get around Cape Town?
Yes. Uber and taxis are widely available and reliable throughout the city.

WEDDING EVENTS

What should I expect during the five-day celebration?
We have planned several gatherings throughout the week so we can spend meaningful time with everyone traveling to celebrate with us. A full schedule will be shared closer to the date.

Do I need to attend every event?
Not at all. We understand guests will want to explore Cape Town as well. Join us for as much or as little as you wish. However please RSVP for the ones you can attend so that we can confirm numbers.

DRESS CODE

What should I wear?
Each event will have its own dress code, which will be shared in the event details. Think elegant but relaxed — perfect for a beautiful Cape Town setting.

PLUS ONES

Can I bring a guest?
Because our wedding is an intimate celebration, invitations are limited to those listed on your invitation. Partners who are married or in long-term relationships have been included.
