There are numerous stop-and-go sites on the road leading to Franschhoek due to major roadworks. If you are travelling from the N1 to Franschhoek (and from the edge of town) it may cause very long delays (at least 40 mins). We are hopeful that the road will be more open over weekends, but we implore our guests to keep this in mind and consider checking traffic online (we highly recommend Waze for live traffic updates) before travelling to the ceremony.

While we would love to include all the little ones in our celebration, we have opted for an adults-only wedding. We hope you can make arrangements for a night out and enjoy the festivities with us.
Kindly note that the venue only accepts card payments. Unfortunately, La Roche does not allow guests to start their own bar tabs. We sincerely want our guests to have a good time and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
There are bathrooms near The Sanctuary’s parking lot, but not in the chapel itself. Please consider this before making your way across the lake.

We are lucky to have a venue that is only 5km from the town of Franschhoek -which is a very popular holiday and wedding destination. Thus, we recommend that guests book their accommodation as early as possible. AirBnB and LekkeSlaap have various accommodation options available. Alternatively, the following are also fantastic options:

Guests driving to the venue should park at The Sanctuary (you can follow the signs on the property). Vehicles can then be moved to the Festival Hall’s parking lot after the ceremony.
Ubers are, unfortunately, scarce in Franschhoek during the evenings. Our guests' enjoyment is of paramount importance to us, which is why we have arranged for a shuttle to transport guests from the venue to their accommodation (in town only). This service will be available from 23:00 to 02:00.
