It’s funny to look back on their love story, that began more than 17 years ago at Brandon’s aunts house. Brandon would make his way to  his cousins room when Jade arrived and would throw toys at her or kick a ball at her to get her attention (Instead of just saying Hi!)

 

 

Brandon was about 12  and Jade 9 years old, when they first laid eyes on each other. In Brandon’s mind, he remembers being younger and thinking Jade was this pretty girl with the most beautiful eyes in the world. Whenever they were in a room together, they would be so nervous and pretend to not take note of each other. 

 

They went to  different schools, had completely different friend groups/ hobbies and lived very different lives. There was no way their paths would ever cross "like that," until it did. Brandon had a rugby fundraiser and of course Jade had to support! The evening went on and they snuck off onto the lawns, laughing beneath the night sky. 

 

Jade really thought she won Brandon over that night, but nope, not yet! 

Years went by and they would stay in contact via the phone (Because both of them would be far too shy to initiate a date). They would often see each other on the dancefloors of many parties or at the field when again, Brandon would conveniently ‘not see her” the entire afternoon! But would later message on Mxit and say something like “ So how come you didn’t come and greet me?!”

 

Fast forward to 2018, Brandon’s aunt told Jade to come around. She had always kept both Jade and Brandon in the loop about each other’s lives, so that night when she invited them over, it was no different- Aunty Des had a plan… LOL! That night was special and they could both feel that is was the start of something new. They spoke all night and as soon as they left, the conversation carried on through the phone.

 

The rest was history…

 

4 and a half years later, they have gone on many adventures, experienced extreme highs and lows and grown together in so many ways! They feel beyond blessed to be where they are today and look forward to a beautiful future together!
