A MODERN-DAY LOVE STORY...
Lol, on the 14th of January 2018 I decided to send a beautiful girl a message on Instagram complimenting her on her outfit and not expecting her to reply. To my surprise she replied on the same day! It was difficult for me to control my emotions because I could not fathom the fact that SHE replied to me. A conversation that eventually turned into a date.

On the 21st of January 2018 we decided to go on our first date. I will never forget that day, it was a beautiful sunny Sunday, and I was filled with joyous emotions. To be fair I was scared as well. I wasn’t sure if I’d be catfished or not lol!

 

But the moment she walked out of the front door I was blown away. Practically speechless. And as usual, after greeting her I was surrounded by her family wanting to know who I am and what I’m doing there because soon to be Mrs. Chengapar did not mention anything about going out on a date.

There are two sides to each story, I felt sorry for Charmlin hence agreeing to go out on a date with him (lol). Jokes aside, after going on our first date that we both thoroughly enjoyed, we started spending more and more time together, getting to know one another. Through this we became best friends. From the get-go we knew that what we share is something special. We always received comments from family members and friends on how compatible we are for one another. Charmlin was that puzzle piece that I didn’t know was missing, he’s a perfect fit.

We were continuously asked “are you dating yet?” and we kept on delaying it saying, “we’re just friends”, but who are we fooling because we knew that being in a relationship was genuinely what we wanted.

 

On the 23rd of March 2018 we decided to make it official. We experienced a lot of ups and downs in our relationship. We had our good days and our bad days as any other couple. However, we faced these challenges together and here we are 4 years later ready to embark on our new journey by saying “I do” in front of the lord, family members and close friends.
