Akona and Pumza met in 2004 as students at the University of the Western Cape and formed a friendship. It was only in 2014, 10 years later when the friendship received an upgrade, and they went on their first date.

 

On the 23rd of September 2017, they tied the knot and said their vows in a small ceremony with both families at the Willowvale Methodist church in the Eastern Cape. In March 2018, they continued to celebrate their union in a traditional ceremony with friends and family Engcobo.

The love, passion, commitment, and friendship that exists between the two of them prove that when two souls are connected what’s meant to be will always find its way.
